Common reasons teams switch

  • Unlimited envelopes without DSC on every plan

Personal, Professional, Business, and Enterprise all include unlimited documents that do not require a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC). DocuSign caps sending on free and paid tiers—for example, five envelopes per month on Personal and annual envelope pools on Standard and Business Pro.

  • Friendly credits instead of envelope math

Personal includes 10 friendly credits, Professional includes 50, and Business includes 100. Credits cover workflow actions such as DSC-backed documents (two credits per document on paid plans). DocuSign does not publish an equivalent credit model on its standard eSignature plans.

  • Multiple users on one plan price

Professional is $15/month (or $10/month billed annually) and includes up to three users. Business is $40/month (or $25/month billed annually) and includes up to five users. DocuSign Standard and Business Pro are priced per user—$30 and $45 per user per month on public US pricing.

  • Bulk send on Professional

Bulk Send is available from Professional upward. On DocuSign, bulk send is listed on Business Pro, above Personal and Standard.

  • FormWiz workflows on Business and Enterprise

Business and Enterprise include Smart Questions, Smart Participants, Smart Data Flow, and related FormWiz capabilities for dynamic documents and routing. DocuSign’s public plan pages focus on web forms and agreement automation on higher tiers rather than this workflow model.

Where DocuSign still fits

  • More on the first paid DocuSign plan

DocuSign Personal includes reusable templates, notifications, reporting, and a real-time audit trail. On SignPaperless, templates and audit trail start on Professional; Personal is aimed at light sending on the free tier.

  • Large integration catalog

DocuSign advertises hundreds of prebuilt integrations. SignPaperless offers a REST API and named integrations; it does not publish a marketplace count at the same scale.

  • Team features on Standard

DocuSign Standard includes shared templates and folders, user permissions, team reporting, and custom branding for organizations that already pay per seat.

  • Business Pro transaction tools

DocuSign Business Pro publicly lists payment collection, signer attachments, conditional fields, interactive web forms, and bulk send in one package—useful if you need those capabilities in a single DocuSign SKU.

Frequently asked questions

Still deciding between SignPaperless and DocuSign? We can walk through your workflow.

Talk to sales

It can be, especially if you send a steady volume of agreements and want unlimited non-DSC envelopes on every plan, friendly credits, and several users covered by one monthly price. Business and Enterprise add FormWiz workflows for dynamic questions, participants, and data flow. DocuSign may still be the better fit if you rely on its integration network, per-seat team tooling on Standard, or Business Pro features such as payment collection.
